Description

The Devastator is the latest addition in the Galactic Rangers series. Theres so much to talk about that I'm not too sure where to begin. Let me just start from the bottom and we'll work our way up. Firstly the legs. Unlike past lego models that were walkers/vehicles, the legs were usually static or somewhat flimsy. Here, I'm utilizing the new micro ball-joint and socket system. Using this creates more opportunities for kids to pose, and to have it simulate a better walking motion. Moving upward a bit, the waist has a swivle 2 X 2 plate that allows the top half to spin a full 360 degrees. One last thing to mention about the legs is that you see the little orange pieces sticking out of the legs? Those are actually shield deflectors. Neat feature huh? Now the upper half is where this gets interesting. The design of the cockpit is very big, but also sleek and simple is its design. On the front you have four mini blasters, along with two flood lights for night time action. Moving towards the center we have the cockpit where the pilot fits with plenty of space, and has a console showing data on how the mech is holding up, along with two levers that control the missile pods in the rear. Speaking of which, the Devastator comes packed with eight plasmite missiles. However they do not fire and are just there for show. There is also one other function inside the missile pods. Boosters that can lift the mech up to higher grounds are built into the pods. If you like, you can move the pods up and down for when playing. If you don't have the boosters on have no fear. On the back sides of the legs are 1x1 round studs that let the Devastator scale walls and even stay there for as long as you want. Overall, this my favorite build out of them all so far, and has been a real blast to build. The total piece count for this set comes to 193 pieces. Hard to believe, I know. This puts it around $20.00. Which is good. I could seriously see these becoming popular with moc'ers and others who like to do large scale dioramas. If you have any questions, comments, leave them below and I'll get back to ya.

That is some fascinating lego tech. :noes:

(One downside noted so far: Your descriptions are giant walls of text. Paragraphs would help tremendously with reading quality.)
